Proposed studies examine disparities in receipt of mammography and breast cancer outcomes in Medicaid beneficiaries with and without mental illness.

Improving Outcomes for Older Women with Breast Cancer
The aims of the study are to determine the ability of the Vulnerable Elders Survey-13 (VES-13) tool to predict 12-month functional decline or death; to examine the reliability of the VES-13; and to identify baseline correlative biomarkers of 12-month functional decline in women 65 years of age or older and diagnosed with stage I-III breast cancer.
